Private Fiddle Lessons

At the request of some friends I have decided to take on some private students.  I can teach beginner to advanced lessons for any age. I started playing in Bluegrass bands at the age of 13, but now it is mostly a hobby since I work full time. If you would like to hear more recordings of my music I'll be glad to send you something! I only teach to play by ear, I have never enjoyed playing by sheet music...so I don't care to teach it that way. If you bring a blank CD I will be glad to record and burn parts of the lesson so you can practice at home. If you are interested please e-mail me and I can provide any more information you need, or we can schedule your first lesson! Lessons are $30 an hour or $15 per half hour (kids only).

Just found a really good site for learning fiddle scales, and a lot of other basic fiddle information such as vibrato/tremelo. Lots of good information for about any string instrument you can imagine.  Check it out!

Live Interactive Video Lessons on Skype

I have had some people mention that it would be helpful to have live lessons online so that I could interact with students, answer questions, and offer advice.  Sounds fun to me!  I’m going to offer both beginner and advanced lessons based on demand.  If you’re interested just leave a comment and we can arrange a time.  Skype is an easy and free way for us to connect, so if you don’t have a Skype account I have put a link below.  It’s free as long as you connect from Skype to Skype…and I’m all about some free stuff.
